1. Disclosure Regarding Background Investigation

In short

Before you start work, Compunnel, Inc. may obtain a background report about you from a consumer reporting agency. This page explains that, and the next section is where you authorize it. It is a standalone notice — nothing else is bundled in.

Compunnel, Inc.("Compunnel," "we," "us," or "our") may obtain one or more "consumer reports" or "investigative consumer reports" about you from a consumer reporting agency for employment purposes — including hiring, assignment, retention, and related decisions — in connection with your engagement as a Compunnel employee placed through the GigShift platform.

These reports may include information about your identity, criminal history, address history, and work eligibility, to the extent permitted by the federal Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and applicable state and local law.

⚠ Attorney review needed

Counsel to confirm the final, standalone FCRA disclosure wording and the categories of information reported, and confirm this page satisfies the FCRA standalone-document requirement (disclosure only, with limited permitted additions) and any state equivalents (e.g., California ICRAA/CCRAA, and state/city "ban-the-box" and notice-timing rules). Confirm the consumer reporting agency name/contact is added where a state requires it.

2. A Summary of Your Rights Under the FCRA

Before we take any adverse action based in whole or in part on a background report, you will receive a copy of the report and the federally required document "A Summary of Your Rights Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act," which is published by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB).

⚠ Attorney review needed

Link the CFPB-published "Summary of Your Rights Under the FCRA" here as a GOVERNMENT URL (do not self-host this document). Counsel to provide/confirm the exact current CFPB link before publish.

3. Authorization

In short

You provide this authorization in the GigShift app during onboarding. This page is the disclosure you review before authorizing.

By providing your authorization in the app, you authorize Compunnel to obtain consumer reports and investigative consumer reports about you as described above; authorize any consumer reporting agency to furnish such reports to Compunnel; and confirm that an electronic copy of your authorization is as valid as the original. Your authorization remains valid throughout your relationship with Compunnel unless you revoke it in writing, subject to applicable law.

⚠ Attorney review needed

Confirm the authorization mechanism (in-app acknowledgment with signature/date capture) and revocation handling are implemented, and that pre-adverse and adverse-action procedures are in place before any check is run.
